Summary: Written for the prompt over at Simply Snickers (link can be found at the side under ‘Writing Prompts’): key words include magnificent and moments. Two very different people meet, fall in love, and then part in time. The memories are still nice…

Memories
I was not unlike the house
On the outskirts of town
In need of construction
With a desire for care

While you were the castle
Surrounded by subjects
With constant attention
And a longing for more

Invisible forces drew us
Overlooking differences
We embraced each other
Everything within my arms

Like a gentle breeze
Caressing my cheek
Beautiful moments pass
Leaving magnificent memories

Nicely done. The imagery works so well. Boy, I remember those twenty-something days. ;-)

Thanks for participating at SIMPLY SNICKERS this week.

I remember my first love…and he is still a magnificent memory.

This story, hidden in a poem is as old as time and common around the world, but still, unique to each one of us.

Great poem!

Moments we’ve all shared and pull out of our memories from time to time to enjoy. Thank you for sharing this!
